The deaths in Sweden since 1 st April ——- Australia and Sweden have identical mortality rate as of August 20, 2021. This is seen as an increase for Australia and a decrease for Sweden.

This is due to inequitable access to healthcare and higher rates of health problems in these communities. Indigenous people were faced with health disadvantages before Covid-19. The decrease in access to healthcare may lead to further health inequalities. The pandemic has disrupted gatherings for these communities due to health concerns, however this has a negative impact on cultural practice and Indigenous connection to the country.
