Referencing: The essay must be fully referenced using the APA 7th style This involves clearly and accurately referencing all material from sources you have read in the body of the essay in text referencing. A Reference list which includes full bibliographical details of ALL the sources you have cited should be provided at the end of the essay.There are a range of referencing resources available on LMS and LTU Library.
Originality : The essay will be a piece of individual and original work You may discuss the essay with other students and your Workshop Facilitator whilst you are in the process of developing an under standing of how you will interpret the topic. How ever each student is required to submit an individual original essay For further clarification please refer to the University web page on academic integrity
Turnitin:
The University uses text matching software Turnitin to analyse similarity between published material and student assignments The software also matches to other student assignments. All students are required to submit their individual essay to Turnitin by the essay due date and time essays will not be graded until the Turnitin report is available to Facilitators. Advice on the procedure for Turnitin sub mission will be provided on the HLT1IPP LMS site in the online show bag and was reviewed in the week one work shop You will have an opportunity to submit essay drafts to Turnitin to check the similarity index for issues with paraphrasing and citation and make amendments if required before finalising the essay by the due date.
Your essay must be submitted to Turnitin via the LMS site for HLT1IPP and under your own access code other wise it will be attributed to the person who logged onto the LMS site. You can submit several drafts prior to the due date and time.The report on your first submission will be available almost immediately but reports on subsequent submissions can take 24 hours to process.You will be able to check for in appropriate matches and then correct these and re-submit your work.
