For this assessment you will choose one of the case studies provided and research the area of exceptionality.
1. Research current information that introduces the chosen area of exceptionality.
2. Outline the implications for the child/children regarding their functional daily living and implications of the chosen exceptionality for the child children in an educational setting.
3. Identify the early intervention strategies for your selected area of exceptionality which will enhance and support the children’s learning and development in the following areas:
i. cognitive,
ii. physical,
iii. social /emotional and
iv. language.
4.Outline how you will develop and implement an inclusive program based on the principles of inclusion early intervention and strength-based approaches.

For this assessment you will be presenting your findings from Assessment 2 to the class in the form of a presentation.
For the presentation you will need to:
1. Present and report on current information that introduces the chosen area of exceptionality from your chosen case study from Assessment 2.
2. Outline the implications for the child/children regarding their functional daily living and implications of the chosen exceptionality for the child/children in an educational setting.
3. Identify the early intervention strategies for your selected area of exceptionality which will enhance and support the children’s learning and development in the following areas:

III. social /emotional, and
IV. language.
4.Outline how you will implement a strengths-based approach to include and build a relationship with a child and their family with this area of exceptionality.
5.Using your case study from Assessment 2 and prepare an IEP (using the IEP template provided by the Subject academic). Your IEP will include SMART goals teaching strategies to achieve the goals how will you document the goal process. Present this as part of your presentation.
6. Be creative and engaging in your presentations. Think about resources and interactive opportunities for your audience e.g., quiz, demonstration YouTube SLIDO live polls etc.
