Required Resources
1.You will need to have access to relevant legislation standards and codes industry practices, student book resources computer and internet access.
2.You may need access to organisational documents and deliverables from previous tasks in the assessment.
Evidence
A. You must submit the completed assessment cover sheet and other evidence as outlined in the observation instructions, by online submission within the allocated time.
B.Ensure you keep a copy of your submitted work. Assessments submitted without completed cover sheet will not be accepted.

When and where will this assessment take place?
1. This assessment may be undertaken in a simulated environment/in a classroom/offsite via Zoom meeting Zoom Meetings are a cloud-based video conferencing application This is to be discussed with the assessor.

3. Your assessor will provide you with the due date, which can be recorded in the assessment plan.
4.Your assessor will provide you with a Zoom meeting link to undertake the assessment/observation task
5. Your assessor may also specify the length of time allowed and the expected word count, if applicable.

What if the assessment is not suitable?
1.If you are unable to provide sufficient evidence within the observation assessment method your assessor may be able to provide you with an alternative method. Discuss this with your assessor.
What happens if your answers are not satisfactory?
1. If any of the observation assessments are not satisfactory your assessor will provide you with feedback. You may need to resubmit some or all the assessment tasks. Your assessor will explain the details for your reassessment.
2. In most cases you will be allowed a maximum of three attempts.
3. If you are not satisfied with your assessment result you have the right to lodge an appeal. Ask your assessor or contact the Course Coordinator for more information.

Observation Instructions:
The student’s assessment shows evidence of the following:
1.You are required to research one (1) community services program of interest, such as: aged community services migrant & multicultural services or youth services.

Based on your research, you must develop a service program and deliver a 15-minute oral presentation on it with the use of audio-visual resources (e.g. Power Point presentation). This will be a role play simulation in a Zoom meeting, with other students from diverse backgrounds role playing the role of service users and the assessor as a colleague.
The presentation must include the following:
1.Consumer engagement:
o How consumers are engaged in analysing service needs
o Supports needed for effective consumer participation at all levels of program planning
o Requirements and needs of specific and diverse service user groups and individuals

2.Program planning and development:
o Program design and resourcing
o Accountability and governance
o Funding framework, including not-for-profit, government funding
o Opportunities for collaboration and service partnerships
3.Program implementation and monitoring:
o Implementation systems and procedures
o Identifying the key staff involved and their responsibilities
o Risk, regulatory and sustainability considerations
o standards, codes and legislation compliance

4.Program monitoring and evaluation:
o Feedback and complaints procedures
o Evaluation and continuous improvement processes
At the end of your presentation, you must collect at least three (3) feedback forms from your audience. The feedback form will include comments or questions regarding the information you have provided about the service program. Once you have received your feedback forms, you will need to compile and analyse them, and then revise your Power Point presentation accordingly to reflect the appropriate changes suggested by your audience. Refer to p. 7 for the Feedback Form template.

Assessment conditions:
The assessment conditions should simulate a meeting/presentation room that allows the student access to:
1. suitable workplace facilities and resources, including organisation policies and procedures
2.computer and internet access
3. interactions with service users/co-workers from diverse backgrounds
4. meet Work Health and Safety standards

a. 2 PowerPoint presentations (one original and one revised, post-feedback)
b. 3 completed feedback forms
